Why this role exists This position is crucial in bridging the gap between client vision and technical execution in footwear design. The Technical Designer will be instrumental in transforming creative concepts into detailed technical specifications, working directly with clients to ensure their design vision is accurately translated into manufacturable products. This role supports our client's mission to guide customers through every step of the footwear development process, from initial concept to final production.

The Impact you’ll make
Technical Design Development
Create detailed tech packs and specification sheets for footwear designs
Develop 2D technical drawings using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Transform client concepts into technically accurate design specifications
Client Collaboration
Communicate directly with clients to understand design requirements
Provide technical guidance and feedback on design feasibility
Participate in client meetings via phone, email, and video calls
Design Documentation
Prepare comprehensive technical documentation for manufacturing
Create detailed specifications for material selection and construction
Maintain organized design files and revision histories
Quality Assurance
Review technical specifications for accuracy and manufacturability
Ensure designs meet industry standards and client requirements
Collaborate with production team to resolve technical challenges
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Required:
Proven proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Experience creating technical specifications or tech packs
Strong technical drawing and visualization skills
Professional level English communication skills
Background in footwear design or related technical field
Portfolio demonstrating technical design work required
